aghghgh so we're here..
and we're meeting our host families tomorrow!!!
its been such a long trip
the plane flight was eh.. it was long, but i sat next to 3 of my closest friends. one of them is a girl from portland who reminds me exactttlyy of Willa :]and she's going to some small town in far south italy and one of them is a rich gay indian boy from florida who's really materialistic so its funny and he's going to southern italy too and the other one is a guy from denver who's going to some far northern town called Parma
so that was nice :)
our first flight was to zurich. which was adorable. it was covereeeeddd in snow, and the houses were all cute, quaint, and very Heidi-like
but I pretty much got zero sleep... one hour at most. so when we got to our hotel in rome(which was amazing) i was too exhausted to talk to anyone. so i had a really miserable rest of the day.
then we started our 2 day orientation in Rome.
we took an italian lesson..which was really difficult... and then went on a tour of the vatican
the food here is amazing. but they serve it really formally. you sit down and they come by and serve you. the first course is always a pasta dish (we've had vegetarian lasagna, gnochi, and penne with pesto) and the next is salad and meat and the last is dessert.
i cant waitttt for tomorrow though. we finally meet our host families which i've been so so excited for.
anyways, i'm paying for internet and i have very limited time so i'm off :[
