so the internet hasnt been working very well for the past few days, thats why i'm not posting until now
its so wonderful here, despite the drizzly weather
and i've been eating soooo well. the meals are all delicious, and the sweets are amazing. today i had a lot of Cannolis, which are from here, so they were extra good. and theres plenty other really yummy sweets, most of them made with ricotta.
yesterday we went on a walk between all the temples of agrigento, which are similar to greek temples. they're gorgeous and once i return to rome and upload pics onto my computer, i'll post some on here.
then we went to this garden that was half botanic garden, and half Forum-like ruins and we ate this amazing lunch. it was all vegetarian so it was perfect for me. there were these garlic breads that were bread SOAKED in olive oil with garlic, salt, and spices. there was really good bread with pecorino cheese, sicilian olives, and this delicious salsa-like eggplant dip.
then there were these omelettes that were my favorite. i loved them. and there was pizza, but it was sicilian style pizza so it was like pizza and inside the crust were potatoes.
mmmm it was so good and the surroundings were so wonderful.
today i went and saw the beach.. in the rain.. it was still really nice
we have only one day left, but i'm excited to see what else we'll see
ohhh and the other really good thing is the gelato. here, its a tradition to eat gelato in this thing called a brioche. its kindof like a hamburger bun, but its made out of sweet bread so its really puffy sweet bread FILLED with gelato.
hahaaa, ok well ciao!

  3. Hi Terra! You are having such an amazing experience! Wow! Nice, Cannes, SISILY!!! I am so happy for you. You sound great. I am so proud of how you are taking it ALL in! We actually might go to Sicily this summer so you will have to help us plan our trip. We are driving down to LA today to take Mikenna to the airport. She leaves on a one way ticket to New Zealand tonight!!! We are stopping in Ventura to have breakfast. Your mom and dad are joining us so I look forward to hearing more about your adventures from them.
Take care honey, enjoy EVERYTHING!!! (especially the food!!! :)
    Much love,
